Although this is the first hand blender I have ever owned, I did do a lot of research prior to purchasing a Bosch and I'm so glad I did. This not only looks sleek and fabulous, it is extremely quiet which is a bonus, but also super fast. It's so easy to use and makes blending a pleasure rather than a chore. I own an old Kenwood food processor with a jug attachment for blending, but it meant that you had to drag the huge thing out of hiding just to blend stuff, what a chore. Soup took forever having to blend in batches. With my new Bosch, soup doesn't have to be transferred from pan to jug and back to another pan as it can all be done in the same pan.
I couldn't wait to try it out and the first thing I blended was some plain fat-free yoghurt, strawberries, raspberries, half a banana and a peach - absolutely fantastic and literally took a matter of seconds.
What's also extremely handy, it the small blender bowl. I use a lot of herbs in cooking and this is just fantastic! Just add some fresh herbs and a quick whiz and you're ready to go!
This Bosch blender is perfect and I would definitely recommend this to others who are having trouble trying to decide which one to buy.
The delivery was also brilliant as although it was supposed to take 3-5 days with free delivery, I received mine two days later.

I was looking for a blender and looked for all with stainless steel parts since I know that plastics will get coloured through use. It was the sleek design and the very easy connect disconnect feature on this one that made me interested. I was considering the Braun MR with some extra bowls for a little less money.
But what really made me go buy this one was because the sound of this one was a mere 1/3 of the Braun MR 6550 MFPHC I compared it with. So silent and a much more pleasing sound! Great balance and quite weightless in the foot, easy too manouver. And better connections I thought. And after pushing the buttons who are very easy to control I decided to buy the Bosch even if one gets more stuff with the Braun package. I WILL use my knifes instead if I find that the Bosch package isn't enough so to speak. I mean what is wrong with a bit of chopping? :-) I like to do something myself too.
My first trials has been with the whisk, blending some dough. No problems at lowest setting. I think and hope this was the best investment for me at this time. And it sure looks good! :-)
If you can go listen to it before looking for something other/ cheaper, it is very silent I think! Then try your fingers on the buttons BUT DON`T LOOK AT HOW THEY USE THE THUMB ON THE PACKAGE to operate it. Probably only to show a good picture on the package, NO use your index instead and you'll feel the balance. Great! I have had so much assistance from other reviewers here on amazon I thought it was my turn now to review. Go buy an Bosch! :-)
PS. It surely is a 5 star , but it might be too early to say that after a day or two using it. That's why the 4 star is there. I mean I am very pleased with it myself so far it is very likely be worth 5 stars anyhow. The test of time will tell. Might be back!

Having gone through my fair share of hand blenders (I am a professional cook), this is without doubt heads above anything else. Very quiet, yet extremely powerful. Everything clicks together with that german precision. Easy to clean. The whisk is great too- does not fling ingredient to edge with centrifugal force, but actually whisks. The chopper accesory makes great breadcrumbs. My only reservation is with the actual blender blade, in the past I have had similar blades break while blending (always check symmetry of blade after use to make sure it is all there!), and this blade looks just like all the others, but it does work well. Although it states it can be used to crush ice, this is using the chopper NOT the blender!
Very happy, hope I can get replacement parts when needed because NO hand blender works for ever, something always gives,but with this one I doubt it will ever be the motor.
Highly recommended.
