Almost got the Philips one, but went for the Bosch instead. I've had this item over a month now and I'm impressed and definitely recommend it!
- Build quality seems very, very good as you'd expect from Bosch.
- Blender is very quiet considering size and speed
- Very powerful blending of all types of ingredients - even tried some nuts and seeds but do be careful to listen out for any jamming/loud noises and don't overdo it!
- Great quality accessories including ice crusher and whisk (the whisk I use all the time and it's a god-send-very fast and efficient!)
- Variable speed - this is great as it's not just two different speed settings like some blenders, but a little dial that turns like a volume-control dial. This allows for a range of speeds and is VERY useful.
- Turbo button - pretty straightforward, but great to have for bursts of full tilt blending.
One word of caution - be careful not to put the items in your dishwasher or submerge them in your sink because many of the parts take in/store water and cannot be emptied easily!

This was purchased as a replacement for a very elderly Braun hand blender, which has now retired.
It does all the tasks we have set it so far and just as well as the previous item, we had for 9 years. It is much quieter than the Braun and
the chopping attachment has a much more secure lid fastening device, so that
no liquid leaks out of the sides of the lid. All in all it seems to be a good buy, but only time and extensive use will tell the whole story.

After plenty of research I ended up buying the Bosch 6700. I am extremely happy with this hand blender. It is sturdy and solid and comes with great attachments. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
