My previous processor gave me years of service and owed me nothing so when it finally packed in I was lost - back to chopping veg by hand for soup again and taking all that time! -oh no!! It was hard to find one like my old one that I kept on the work bench in situ and could use without having to pull out or move anything having cupboards above of course. This looked a good buy especially so with all the attachments and the motor was at the side which meant I could leave it on the bench to use. All other makes were too high with the bowl above the motor. I chose well! It is perfect and a good substantial machine and motor. Great for chopping, slicing, grating, chipping, whisking; good capacity bowl for baking etc. It has a separate liqidiser - easy to attach. The juicer is great for quickly doing oranges etc. My veg are easily and quickly chopped for soup again. This is one delighted cook!

I bought this food processor after many trawls through many websites trying to be as objective as possible about the pros and the cons of this brand.

I had narrowed down my choices to a Kenwood or a Bosch, but after further research, my choice was the Bosch all I had to do now was decided which one - this one or the Which best buy - MCM4000, I did check the which report on this model, and it did give it slightly lower points. I decided to go for this one anyway and that was based on the price difference, which was only £20, and for that all the cutting, whisking and chopping accessories are stainless steel.

I am so happy with my purchase, it is a bit bigger than expected but once you store the juicer elsewhere, the food processor, the blender and the storage box can sit on the work surface. There are many accessories -

- 4 grating/shredding discs including a chipper, medium and coarse grater and a thin/thick slicer
- A 2- part stainless steel chopping blade
- A plastic yellow citrus press
- A metal kneading tool
- A metal whisk
- A plastic juicer, which also has a special food processor lid

The storage box stored under the food processor stores away all the bit and pieces except for the juicer that can be stored away separately.

The instructions are not that much, but the machine is very easy to put together. It has made food preparation very easy, it shreds through cucumber, onions, carrots in seconds. I have used it to prepare soups, stews, cakes, and salads.

Excellent value for money and does everything we need it for. We are happy with it and have even named it Delia - Never named a gadget before! So it's a thumps up from me.

We loved the product and felt that it would do everything that we needed to do in the kitchen. However the blender knife went rusty in the middle around 2 weeks after purchasing it, we returned it and got another one, but the same happened again and returned that one too, so now we're hunting for another make. Sad really bcos we really liked the Bosch :-//

I'm a keen home baker often taking cakes round to neighbours or in to work. I had a little Kenwood food processor that my daughter bought for me about 15 years ago and it still works, but was on the small side, and I wanted to start making bigger cakes, breads etc so thought I would treat myself. After searching around and making extensive enquiries, I decided that for the price range (I paid £110) that the Bosch sounded like the best option as it had a lot of gadgets that would best fit my purpose. Ive had my Bosch about 5/6 months now and ive just had to order a spare part for the whisk arm attachment after it splintered whilst in use.
I found that although its a lovely looking unit, compared to my littler unit (which I gave my mother) the Bosch doesn't mix, cream or whip very well. I originally thought that perhaps because it was bigger that I had to double the ingredients, as clearly cooking an ordinary Victoria size sponge wasn't working and I ended up finishing this off by hand, alas it wasn't much better using larger quantities. Ive tried the dough hooks as I wanted to make bread and Chelsea buns, and again this is ok for initially binding the ingredients but then just sticks to the column and doesn't knead, you have to remove it and complete the process by hand. Ive used the cutter facility and ive got to say that only in this aspect does it exceed my Kenwood and chops very well and leaves very little "bits". The blender Ive used for making soups and Ive found this also to be good. I wash the blender immediately as other reviews I read stated that theirs went rusty, so Ive tried to dry it as much as I can after each wash and its fine.

I recently bought the Bosch after extensive research on Kenwood, Russell Hobbs, Breville and other food processors.

Quality wise the Bosch is great, it is easy to use and initially takes a bit of time to understand where all the accessories fix and how you can use them. But that is only a one-time learning investment. The unit's built using strong plastics and the attachment clips are made of strong plastics as well, so no chances of cracking or breaking on the slightest force. The suction tabs on the base are very strong so you dont have to worry about it topping over when used on full power.

The noise is not as loud as some other models but is still a bit loud. I believe that is due to the 1100W motor in it. One thing I learned after buying this model is that if you are not going to use the dough tool (like us) then you don't really need anything more power full then a 700W ~ 800W motor.

Size wise it is a bit big, the motor for the Jug and Blender works at the same time but they recommend not to use it together, which kinda kills the whole purpose of getting a large food processor. The recipe book is crap and the instruction manual is easy to understand but only for people with higher then average I.Q otherwise it would take some getting used to.

The stowaway provided is very handy and avoids cluttering your kitchen with accessories everywhere. You can either keep it attached at the base like in the picture or keep it in a drawer which massively reduces the footprint of the base unit itself.

All in all a very good product, good design, highly recommended and compared with similarly priced units from Kenwood and Breville, a much better choice.
