The Bosch KEO is a compact and lightweight reciprocating garden saw powered by an integral 10.8 volt lithium-ion battery. It has been designed to fill the gap between secateurs and chainsaws, where the usual alternative for cutting back medium-sized branches would be a handheld pruning saw. It is lightweight and features a detachable A-grip hook for improved performance even on unsupported branches. The unique A-hook removes the need for a second hand to support the branch while cutting.

The KEO’s Swiss precision blades provide a clean cut, and the Bosch SDS system makes blade changing easy and tool-free. The cutting diameter achieved can be up to 60 mm with the A-grip hook attached, and 80 mm without. It is designed to suit a wealth of different cutting applications around the house and garden, using any of the blades from the Bosch ‘All-Purpose’ saw range.
The KEO has been ergonomically designed to be perfectly balanced and has a soft grip handle, making it comfortable to use. It is also lightweight at only 900g without the hook, and just 1.1kg when the hook is attached. Its simple one-handed operation enables awkward branches to be cut back without the need for assistance in reaching both hands or arms into a tree or oversized bush.

The KEO’s SDS system allows easy, tool-free blade changes at the push of a button, for maximum versatility. Blade sets are available in packs of either 3 or 5 for cutting through wood, plaster board and metal, depending on which blade has been selected. There are even flexible blades for ‘flush’ cutting.

The KEO is powered cordlessly by a built-in 10.8 volt lithium-ion battery which fully charges in just three hours using a simple hi-fi-style charger. This cordless freedom allows maximum manoeuvrability without the worry of cutting through cables.
The KEO comes with a 2-year parts and labour guarantee.

Excellent branch saw,
By
This review is from: Bosch KEO Cordless Li-Ion Garden Saw (DIY & Tools)
I bought this primarily to cut a large branch off our Apple Tree, that sticks out onto the garden path (and we've hit our heads on too often). Using a manual saw to cut sections of ~1 foot is cumbersome and time-consuming. The sections will go on an old log pile that Stag Beetles lay their larva in.Again a stylish and well designed product by Bosch, the SDS change on the blade is very nice and the A-Frame attachment allows you to hands-free cut branches to 6cm. 1st I used a pair of old secateurs to prune off the small twigs from the long branch. Then from the tips I used the KEO, the variable speed trigger is ace and allowed me to easily adjust the cutting speed as needed. Beyond 6cm I took off the A-Frame and again sliced through the thicker branch easily. In fact I measured the final cut at 9cm (!) Sections were cut to ~1 foot and added to the log pile (Stag Beetles enjoy :D). Also be sure to wear safety glasses (I use the Draper Expert), heavy garden gloves and wellingtons or work shoes etc. Also I cleaned and used WD40 to lightly spray the blade and reciprocating piston. Next I aim to use this on a large Fir and Pear Tree. Ace cordless saw. This doesn't replace a good saw like the Stanley Fat Max, but it definately complements it for those hard-to-reach areas like close to the main trunk and if you are fed up manually sawing. I wish Bosch had made this as part of their 18V 'Power4All' Range, and sold it as a Baretool, the 10.8V LiIon battery doesn't last that long if you tackle the thicker branches (8-9cm). I put this in the Draper Expert 87358 Heavy-Duty Small Tool Bag which also stores the 5-blade set, several soft cloths, a small can of wd40 and an air can.
