The ART 26 Easytrim Accu is a lightweight, cordless grass trimmer that is ideal to cut lawn edges and around trees and other obstacles. The interchangeable Bosch NiCd 14.4V/1.5Ah battery powers through the grass trimmer to provide easy operation, a precise cut and no restriction from a cable. The battery is interchangeable with other Bosch products, such as AHS cordless hedgecutters and 14.4V NiCd Bosch power tools. The tough, replaceable plastic blades give less resistance than a trimmer line to make best use of the cordless feature. The blade produces a clean, neat cut to give a finished look to your garden lawn. There is a handy store area for the extra blades making replacing them a convenient quick and easy job. I like the trimmer as a whole.
It's very light, easy, accurate, BUT if your grass meets the wall you're going to run through those blades like there's no tomorrow.
I'm being very careful not to touch the wall where I can but if you want to actually cut the grass against the wall, you just can't help touching it occasionally. The plastic blades wear down so fast that I go through one every time I use it. There's about 15 meters of rendered retaining wall that I just have to trim against and really wish they used a normal line so that it keeps extending as it wears. I think buying the blades will end up more expensive than the unit itself.

This cordless strimmer works as well if not better than more traditional strimmers where adjusting the cord is a constant pain! This strimmer cuts effectively and the battery charge lasts long enough to cope with the strimming/edging needs of a small garden easily, it is light and easy to control. Very safe to use although it would benefit from a trigger catch for when you are removing the battery pack - care must be taken not to accidentally press the trigger as you pull off the battery - I have the bruises on my leg to prove it!

I think this is a fantastic product. It's early days yet, so will have to trust to the Bosch name for long term reliability, but if it proves to be long-lastingly trouble free, then I will think it's perfect. As other reviewers have said, it's easy to assemble. It's very light, very easy to handle. We have a small back garden, and I can whiz out and do the lawn I nothing flat. If I miss a patch, I can just pop out again - it's actually fun.
It took me a while to realise that, unlike many battery recharging units, the green light doesn't go off whe the battery is fully charged; you just have to take it out after 4-5 hours, or when it's warm. They do tell you this in the instruction booklet, which i found at this url:[...]
