I bought this wheel to upgrade my Art 26 Combitrim for lawn edging. Within 5 metres it had ripped a 50mm gouge out of the edge of my best lawn. Reason: the wheels are much too small for smooth running, even over short grass. This makes it impossible to cut a straight or curved edge on a lawn. This design is not fit for purpose. The Flymo wheel is larger - 180mm - and far better for lawn edging.
The Bosch Combitrim is also very dangerous - essential to use gloves and full face protection. The line trimmer ejects cut line back into the face of the operator in lawn edging position. a 50mm piece of line stuck into the back of my hand like a dart (no gloves). Bosch should withdraw the Combitrim range until these safety and performance issues are fixed. Bosch ART 26 Combitrim Electric Line Trimmer

Amazon Verified Purchase
Bosch and Amazon are being disingenuous with this item, which is listed as suitable for all Accutrim and Combitrim trimmers, but does not clearly indicate that it does not suit the Easytrin Accu. Other items, e,g, blades, listed in the same way are suitable for the Easytrim, but not this or the Plant Protector. Buyers need to be very careful with this stuff as the naming convention is vague and misleading, and neither Bosch or Amazon seem to care.

Some reviewers have been quite scathing about this line trimmer accessory. I have had no problems but I am not using it for edging so I can't argue with them. I use it for less strain when reaching under bushes or pushing the trimmer along the bottom of the fence. Saves considerable back strain.
