Does a good job of cleaning brick and concrete of dirt, lichen, mould, etc (Have not tried it on a vehicle). All of the attachment lances will remove paint from render and concrete, if, the paint layer(s) are poorly attached to each other and the substrate. If the paint is firmly attached and in sound condition, the Aquatak 110 will not have enough water pressure to remove paint, but then I'm guessing that this is beyond the intended use of the appliance. The appliance is very good at cleaning exterior doors, windows and window frames, when used at lower pressures.
The Vario-jet-fan power lance produces a high pressure stream of water that can be adjusted from a pencil-thick jet to a fan shaped jet. Very good at removing stuborn areas of dirt etc.
The Roto power lance produces a high pressure jet of pencil-thick water that automatically rotates at speed, and is very useful for general cleaning over a wider area.
The Flexi-jet lance provides a thin, very high pressure jet of water. The angle of the tip of the lance can be adjusted by the user, and once adjusted, will shoot the jet of water at a fixed angle. I would advise that adjustment of the nozzle should not be done while running the equipment as injury to the fingers could result if they are accidentally placed into the jet of water. Also, this lance is best used with a very firm grip with both hands on the gun/lance assembly, as the pressure of the water flowing through the gun/lance assembly can make it difficult to control with one hand.
Ideally, the appliance needs two people to operate it, one person to turn the mains water tap on to provide the water supply to the Aquatak 110 and another person (operator) to keep the gun trigger open, to allow a flow of water through the Aquatak's pump and gun/lance assembly. Once there is low pressure water flowing from the tip of the lance, the operator can then switch the pump on. If there is no water flowing from the lance before the pump is switched on there is a danger of the motor overheating. When the motor overheats, the 'motor protector' is automatically engaged, and the pump stops working. After allowing the motor to cool for 5 minutes, the motor can be restarted at the appliance's switch.
The Aquatak 110 needs a hose and three hose fittings to supply it with a mains water supply. I am using a Hozelock Round Mixer Tap adapter to connect to a kitchen mixer tap, a Hozlock Hose End Connector PLUS to snap into the tap adapter and connect to one end of a 12.5 mm diameter hose, and another at the other end of the hose to connect the hose to the inlet fitting on the Aquatak 110.
The Aquatak 110 and attachments are robustly made and inspire confidence, as has previous experience of the Bosch brand.
