The Bosch AHS 48-16 electric hedgecutter comes with a powerful 420 watt motor and a full 48cm blade length, 16mm tooth spacing, and ‘Diamond Ground’ blades which give you a clean and precise cut. Its style and size make it ideal for taller privet or other young, small leaved hedges.
Lightweight and comfortable to use
The AHS 48-16 has been ergonomically designed for your comfort. It’s easier--and safer--to operate with a two trigger start system. At only 3kg it is extremely lightweight, making it easy to tackle trimming your small- to medium-sized hedges. The AHS 48-16 also comes with a protective blade cover for safe storage.
Additional accessories
The Bosch Clippings Sheet can be purchased separately, to aid easy collection of cuttings after you’ve finished trimming. A Bosch Collecto aids you in sweeping clippings from the top of your hedge, to make clean-up easy.

My cottage garden is totally surrounded with hedging, mostly beech. Never having used a hedge trimmer before, I was a little apprehensive as to how I would manage and what sort of cut it would give. There was, however, no need to worry. This little machine coped magnificently and produced a most impressive result. Much, much faster than by hand shears and the result just as neat. Should have got it earlier!
Considered getting the larger trimmer, but glad I finally decided on this one. Ideal for my garden hedge. It is a little heavier than I had imagined, but is still easily managed. Mind and buy a pair of goggles with it.

I have owned several hedgetrimmers, both electric and petrol. This is without doubt the best I have had by far. The main factor is the blades. They will cut through everything CLEANLY. this makes a big difference particularly on Leylandii, which my previous trimmers have done by nibbling away at the foliage until it falls off, which means a frayed and untidy cut. The Bosch cuts through it all on the first pass and leaves a very tidy finish. Motor has plenty of power and not too heavy either.
If this one breaks I will buy another straight away.

This is out 3rd hedge cutter. We should have got this one first. It's very easy to use, very sturdy and makes cutting the hedge a veritable pleasure.
