I bought these bottles following the numerous media reports on the dangers of Bisphenol A. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they've performed. There are a number of bits and pieces to de-assemble for washing, and re-assemble afterwards but I really don't find it a hassle. My son seemed to feed better from the bottles (when compared to breast feeding) and they really did seem to reduce the colicky pain from which he suffered. Basically Bornfree offer a very good bottle with the added bonus that it's Bisphenol A free - surely that is recommendation enough?!

The only downside with the 160ml bottles is that they are obviously only designed to hold 160ml (5oz). Baby will soon want more than that at a feed. I measure 6oz into these bottles using the larger size, but it is a pain. If I'd been thinking about it properly I wouldn't have bought this size at all - the bigger size are far more flexible!

These bottles are amazing. First, the extra parts give you a lot of comfort when it comes to sliding the milk fully into the teats because you know that your baby won't chock. Second, the teats are fat enough to provide support for your baby because they feel much like breast-feeding. Third, every part of the bottle fits perfectly and there is no splitting unlike other brands. Although there is extra washing-up to do with the extra parts, but it all pays back. Buy these bottles and you will never want to use any other brand after trying those.

Good sized bottle (more future-proof than 120ml) BPA-free, BUT the valve system is a pain in the neck, as it consists of two additional elements you need to disassemble, clean and assemble back together to use it.

Avent bottles seem to manage with the valve built into the teat itself, so it's less work and seems to works fine.

We also have some choking issues, as from time to time there's a builtup of pressure inside the bottle, but it's sufficient to squeeze the teat on its base to release the excess air from inside the bottle.
