One of the all-time classic self-help books.. Twenty-five years and four million readers show that Born to Win can change lives for the better. This bestselling classic uses the well-known psychological method called transactional analysis (TA) to uncover the roles we unconsciously act out day after day. Its fifty gestalt exercises have helped a generation realize how they communicate with others and think about themselves. If you want to have more control over your life, work more efficiently, and love others happily, Born to Win will help bring out the insight and confidence of a born winner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best Self-Help book ever!, 11 April 2001
By A Customer
Transactional Analysis and Gestalt may seem old hat these days but the basic priniples have stood the test of time. This book formed the basis of my own study of TA in the seventies and also enabled me to beat a long standing history of recurrent depression and stress-related illness. I now teach TA to medical professionals and, 30 years on, this is still the best book available! Last updated and revised on its 25th birthday in 1996 this really is a "must buy" for anyone interested in digging through the "psychobabble" to the core of what makes people, including you, tick.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well it's a classic really, 8 Mar 2003

Great summary of games players and how people interact, with clear examples, structured approach etc. Far better than Games People Play or I'm OK you're OK. Necesary reading for everyone who has a family or friends or job. One star docked for age, but it's stood the test of time pretty well.

4.0 out of 5 stars The meaning of life....., 5 Nov 1998
By A Customer
If your searching to understand people, or why you are like you are then read this book. Parent, Adult and child is in us all. Look back to when you were young to see why you are like you are today - your blueprint - there from the age of 5! If your into reading information like this then I suggest you also read the original Born to Win by James and Jongeward, or I'm OK your OK, Thomas.

A book I would recommend everyone should read. The title sounds so naff, but this is not your 'run of the mill' self-help book. Read more
