Born to Be Free [Enhanced] [Extra tracks]

The overall quality of the music in this album is high, one or two duff songs but you hardly notice them amongst the wicked stand out tracks! I'll do a quick run through of them and give them a mark out of 10!

1. Alive - I love the intro on this, the song is fast paced but at the same time its totally radio friendly! a strong 8/10 !

2. Hold Me Now - Written by Sonique, is Sonique's own reaction to September 11th, the lyrics are very emotive, and the hooks are all there, its another brilliant track, my favourite on the album! 10/10

3. Can't Make Up My Mind - The first single to be released from the album, its very similar to Sonique's other stuff, its still really really good, but its not highly original! 7/10

4. Magic - the song is very different, a good different, the verses and chorus are very different, they compliment each other! Its a nice easy listening dance track! 6/10

5. Love Washes Away - I like the intro on this too, and Sonique's vocals are really cool, it has that similar Sonique bassline that you find on most the album, so its not such a standout track but its still cool, and when the chorus kicks in you're sure to sing along with it! 7/10

6. Will You Want Me - quality house music, this would go down excellently in clubs, it samples the classic club tune 'Amphetamine' and is definately one of my favourite tracks! 10/10

7. Freefalling (Mums Favourite) .. pretty average, I normally skip it! 5/10

8. Right Here You An' I - another pumping bassline track, cool enough, but I like 'Will You Want Me' better! Also, Sonique's vocals seem to be overshadowed, don't know if thats just my opinion! 6/10

9. Seriously - One of the slower tracks on the album.. I don't mind it, the chorus is cool enough, but its not that memorable! 4/10

10. You're The Reason - love the chorus 'you're the reeeeee-sun I' lol, love that bit! Yeah, this song is very good! 8/10

11. Born To Be Free - The album titled track, its brilliant, sounds completely different from any of the other tracks, the intro with the keyboard is my favourite bit! It gets really fast paced, I just love it! 9/10

12. Please - Don't like this, bit boring .. 3/10

13. I'm Gonna Love You - Nice track that rounds of the album, its a dancey one, but not too fast paced, something about it though that makes it cool! The chorus is really cool, the lyrics are really positive to, gets you in a good mood!

14. Can't Make Up My Mind (Sonique Beatmix) - best mix out of all the mixes that were done for this track (if you have the single you'll know what I mean!)

It is a very good album, very very under-rated, if you bought Sonique's first album on the strength of the singles and then were highly dissapointed with the album tracks, don't worry, this album is very different! I recommend you buy it, I doubt you'll be dissapointed!
