I bought this for transporting my hamsters from the pet shop when I bought them. Just fill it with lots of bedding, a little food and a couple of empty toilet rolls and and it is ideal: my hamsters did not appear stressed by the travelling. Even the staff at the pet shop recommended this over the boxes they supply for transporting the hamsters. The carrier is secure although attaching the top was a little challenging, but attached it does not need to be detached, even when cleaning. The lid is secure but easy to open and the carrier is well ventilated. There are several sizes depending on the size of the pet. You can put your pet in one whilst cleaning out it's cage, although if the hamster is wide awake they may get a little agitated as they prefer not to be in a small confined space for long.

I think this was a good purchase at a really good price. Fairly large , well when the guiena pigs were little but still fits both of ours in just to carry then in and out for cuddles. Unclipping it was a little fiddly hence the 4 stars but we took the top off and thats fine for our use. Double the price in local big pet shop so a happy customer.

bought this product to transport our new hamster from the pet shop to home on the bus, you may feel that it was a waste of money for such a short journey but after having transported hamsters in the cardboard box that the petshop supplies with the obvious results i found it well worth the money. the carrier is large enough to carry a baby rabbit or small kitten in so will come in time and again if you're an animal lover who loves surrounding themselves with pets.

We use this to keep our two pet rats in when we are cleaning out their cage. It is shorter than a shoe box but slightly taller, so is good for short periods but doesn't give the animal any 'running around' space. This plastic is quite robust on the base, although the clear plastic lid feels a little more brittle and thinner. it comes with two carrying handles, which raise up from the ends like a supermarket shopping basket.
The plastic lid hinges up at one side and you place your pet in through the top, the sides are quite steep, so you can then get the lid down before your pet jumps out! The only slight problem is the opening and closing catch on the lid, which is a small oval shaped button, which you have to press in, so releasing it from the oval hole which fixes it in place. getting it closed is a bit fiddly and you have to make sure it is snapped in place correctly.
However, for the price this is an excellent product and our rats seem happy enough in it!

It was easy to assemble and has enough room for several dumbo rats. It's excellent for transporting them to the vets and for when I clean out their cage. I would recommend this product.

i read the review on this now wished had got different one purely for how you have to close it. its really fiddly like the other review says, i only got it because was cheaper however it came to day and i used it for bringing my new hamster home in glad i had it because she got out of the cardboard box the staff at pets at home put her in !!! overall its ok.

I use this for my 2 rats when I'm transporting them between my university home and when i visit my parents. It's a decent size although I'm not sure I'd put any animals that were bigger than a rat in it. It's got air holes which are nice as my rats like to poke their noses out and say hello on long trips. See through lid is also nice so you and your animals can check on each other.

Nice little carrier
Bought this for my 2 young guinea pigs and they both fit nicely into it. At the moment they are 4 months, however I think it will only fit 1 once they are fully grown.
