My husband is currently very interested in wine, really enjoyed reading Stephen Brook's 'The Complete Bordeaux' and has been wanting this book for over a year, since it first came out. He is delighted and the book itself is beautifully produced. If you are interested in finding out more about the 5 top chateaux, then I believe this is the book for you! I bought it this year as it was much better value than a year ago.

Excellent value for money. One of those books which are difficult to put down once started reading. Uncomplicated text, wonderful photographs, both ancient and modern and good sketches of Bordeaux going back centuries. A quality production by any standards.

Knowledge of Perpetual Greatness 17 Dec 2014
By Chuckykhan - Published on Amazon.com

I read this monumental book from first page to last. If you love wine, if you love Bordeaux, read this book. The most famous and classified First Growths only. What a way to start a wine knowledge adventure. To read the detailed history of wines revered by the Kings of France and Thomas Jefferson is edifying. These estates have stood the test of time and this book hallmarks their quality and greatness. Highly recommended for those who appreciate THE WINE!

My love of Bordeaux and its wines 24 May 2013

I must have for anyone who enjoys wine, French wine and the Bordeaux in particular. To see the pictures of the chateaux themselves alone is worth the price of the book

A book befitting the Chateaux it represents! 5 April 2013
By Allan Liska - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Jane Anson is a wonderful writer and knows Bordeaux better than just about any other wine writer. The benefit of her access really shines in her book. The book intertwines the 500 year history of the 5 First Growths of Bordeaux in a compelling story that is both technical and surprisingly ape turning.
