Jane Anson is very knowledgeable about Bordeaux and it really comes through in the book. She talks expertly about dozens of wineries, hotels and restaurants giving the reader a myriad of choices. She also knows a great deal about the history of Bordeaux and its other attractions. In addition, nnlike most travel guides, I was able to read this book cover-to-cover

This little book is really helpful, packed full of information for the tourist visiting Bordeaux. Plenty of useful maps and information on where to visit; lots of little side streets and churches tucked away - this book tells you it all. A great help to my 4 days in Bordeaux; great value for money, perfect pocket size book.
