Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is budget issue of the 3 disc set so it is now very compact. The original was an LP sized box but now reduced to CD size. To get the cost down to this price the discs are now housed in a plastic case which I think is not as appealing as the previous cardboard box issue. That said, the actual music is fascinating for Dylanologists. Disc on is early takes on his acoustic guitar phase. Disc 2 is the best one for me with outstanding cuts such as the gorgeous If Not For You version with George Harrison and the track Wallflower. A brilliant disc with outtakes from Blood On The Tracks, one with entirely different lyrics. Disc 3 is later material and rather mixed but still has highpoints. Overall, outstandingly excellent value and a must have if you are a Dylan fan.

Format:Audio CD
The alternative versions of some of Dylan's well known songs, together with rare concert recordings that I hadn't heard before, made this triple album so rewarding to listen to. Rolling through the years brought back great memories and the bargain price paid was a bonus. For Dylan fans this is a must-have for your collection.

One of the better things about these CDs is the great booklets which are enclosed and which we now come to expect from Dylan reissues and Uncollected which began with Biograph and have now gone up to The Witmark Demos.
In fact the booklet with this one won't fit into the case as its too long so slots into the box
These are not the place though to start a Dylan collection as he tends to reconstruct many of his songs
