Product Description

Fireman turned private-eye Ken Boon is back in the saddle for more trouble-shooting adventures in the BAFTA-winning hit drama. Witty, heart-warming storylines and an array of prestigious guest stars ensured Boon was an instant ratings winner for ITV, and it remains a much-loved series to this day.

This sixth series finds Ken and his business partner and old friend Harry Crawford tested by a typically diverse set of cases, with ever-enthusiastic sidekicks Rocky and Laura ready to intervene when Ken and Harry find themselves too far out of their depths. Jenny Agutter, Christopher Eccleston, Bill Nighy, James Nesbitt, Timothy Spall, Dennis Waterman and Don Henderson feature among the series' many guest stars, and also included is The Night Before Christmas 1991's feature-length special starring Peter Vaughan, Alfred Molina and Jill Gascoine.

By 1991, Boon returned for it's sixth series but showed no signs of lagging in quality. Instead we get another 13 top weight episodes along with a 90 minute Christmas special (which is dedicated to the show's creator Bill Stair who passed away earlier that same year). Again all the cast are back - Ken, Harry, Rocky and Laura steer us through some really gripping sometimes action orientated episodes this time round. The guest stars are still lining up this year and the famous faces gracing us during this series are Bill Nighly, Christopher Eccleston, Don Henderson, Dennis Waterman, Peter Vaughan, James Nesbitt and Jill Gasgoine to name but a few. Like series four, this is another one of my favourite series of Boon. Well worth the money.

great series well acted by a good cast. Remeber it from the 90s and always enjoyed the series, its a shame there arnt more like this now.
