while an easy read sometimes difficult to comprehend. one does not have to question how these situations are possible but just accept and the stories become fully enjoyable.

A good edition to have 19 Jun 2012
By Azure19 - Published on
Format: Paperback
For the price you get three stories and one of the three is original from any Clive Barker books published. The drawings are well done and on nicely glossed pages.

The book "The Thief of Always" provides a nice cautionary tale for both children and adults alike. Easy to read and finish in one sitting, but still memorable. The second book "The Great and Secret Show" is the longest of all the books in this collection. It has a well done plot that makes getting the book alone worth the price with its tale of greed and conviction. The final, and shorter book of the collection, "Seduth" is a nice, short tale to lull one to the final pages of the collection; a well and quickly paced tale, which is a good original edition to the omnibus.

For the overall price of $30 for this is a easy pick for any fan of horror stories or fans of Clive Barker. This is one purchase that is not going to have one having buyers remorse.

Graphic Novel Interpretations Offer Unique Takes on Clive's Work 26 Mar 2013

While I would recommend to anyone to read the books these stories are based on first- there really is no substitute for Clive's prose and your own imagine to create these worlds and characters- seeing a graphic representation of these stories is a distinct pleasure. Gabriel Rodriguez art is unique and vivid (check out his work on Joe Hill's excellent Locke & Key series), and the stories are phenomenal, as always.

Great short stories 12 May 2014

I've read a few stories by Clive Barker before (the Hell-bound Heart and Mister B. Gone). I've always thought his writing was very good, but the BoB Omnibus really turned me on to the capabilities of his macabre imagination. I sped through this book, and I loved it. Almost every story is a hit, and I would recommend it to any Barker or horror fan.

I would just like to warn the reader that this book is entirely print. It's not a graphic novel (duhhh, no pictures?). I say this because the cover art makes it look like a graphic novel--I thought it was--but it is definitely not. I was a little disappointed when I realized it was a novel and not a comic, as I love the Hellraiser comic series, but I already knew Barker's writing was top-notch, so I made due with my error (it was my careless error after all), and I'm happy I did.
