Made from strong recycled cardboard, the lightweight book mailer is the ideal choice for busy book traders and sellers alike. The X1 size mailer accepts books upto a maximum size of 250 x 180 x 70mm and folds down neatly to accomodate smaller size books. Other sizes are available.

If you need to send books through the post then there is a need for decent protection, like with the Amazon book mailing packaging.

These are slightly different from the Amazon style. They come as flat sheets of heavy duty three-ply cardboard, which has been die-cut to allow the relevant folds. They are surprisingly light, much less weight than the book.

The mailer will accomodate up to two 384-page Royal size hardbacks, eg two Pratchett books. Being cardboard, it is not waterproof, so if there is a possibility of water damage, then the book should first be shrink-wrapped or put in one from 100 8"x 11" PLAIN GRIPSEAL,ZIPLOCK BAGS 203mmx279mm, 200G along with the copy-invoice.

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow: twist part of the sheet through ninety degrees to form a cross-piece, lay the book on this and fold up its ends over the book (the illustration shows this stage); fold up the remaining part of the sheet and stick in place.

Once secured around the book the ends of the outer sheet project past the ends of the book, like with the Amazon packing, to add protection for when the Postie drops it on the floor. The double layer of card all around is proof against most impacts, and is better than the usual Amazon single-book mailer.

Why only four stars? It requires us to provide a glue strip, or a double sided sticky tape strip, or some adhesive packing tape to complete the final seal. Never mind, in general it is excellent.
