The Book itself provides an excellent introduction to the whole Vampire world setting, and details the basic fundamental ideas (the traditions) on which Vampire "Civilization" is based. It also provides and introduction to the psychology of the Vampire itself.

For beginning players, this provides valuable information regarding the whole setting, and explains some of the passions and horrors that vampire (characters) may experience during their storytellers chronicle. It also provides a basic history of vampires in general in the alternate Earth, which is "White Wolf's" World of Darkness.

READ THIS BOOK BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE WITHIN THE VAMPIRE GAME!
