This is an excellent book for a someone who is not familiar with Celtic symbolism and is beginning their journey. It is very readable and nicely illustrated but could have had more detail.

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite book, 2 Jun 2011
By Daniele Andrews - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Book of Celtic Symbols: Symbols, Stories & Blessings for Everyday Living (Hardcover)
One of my favorite books about Celtic civilization. It's small and it goes whereever I go. The pictures are wonderful and I'm thinking about embroidery some of them on my bags, pillows, etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Book of Celtic Symbols, 27 Oct 2011
By Shari Schultz - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Book of Celtic Symbols: Symbols, Stories & Blessings for Everyday Living (Hardcover)
The Book of Celtic Symbols: Symbols, Stories & Blessings for Everyday LivingJoules Taylor does a wonderful job in seven chapters describing the the Celtic year to the Celtic landscape. The significance of the trees and the alphabet are discussed. Celtic guides and animal guides also appear. She goes into detail about Boudica, Rosemerta, Morrigan and the Great Mother. The significance of Epona is also touched on. Horses are important in this culture. If you are doing research of any kind, its a good read. I found it easy and colorful with great illustrations. I was back to it quite often.
