I picked this up out of desparation when trying to find a Christmas present for my sister-in-law and was hooked after a couple of pages.Like most works of genius, the idea is incredibly simple. Pages and pages of cartoons showing cute ikle wabbits meticulously arranging ways of topping themselves. The fact that the author chose rabbits instead of something more obvious, like lemmings, is just pure brilliance and takes each cartoon to a different level. On a less 'Times Literary Supplement' note, this is the funniest book I've ever seen....I read it cover to cover in one sitting and was in hysterics the entire time.At time of writing this 'review' it's still 50-50 whether my sister-in-law will actually receive this book.....do yourself (or somebody else) a favour and buy it!

Bunny-licious! 14 Oct 2005
Format:Hardcover
A fantastic book! So much better than Lemmings! This book kept me and my friends laughing for ages. The ideas behind it are truely genius, as are the illustrations.

However, if you have a young daughter or son who has a pet rabbit then you'd best put this book on a high shelf else their could be crying in abundance!

This truly is an excellent book. While the cover is an indication of what is contained inside, the preposterous and truly spectacular means in which the bunnies die is remarkable. Andy Riley has shown a morbid understanding of rabbit's suicides and excellent ingenuity when compiling this album of hilarious anecdotal images. Of course this book would not be so funny if perhaps the victims were human, but they aren't. By defying the type set by many children's authors of bunnies, this book stands out and may be seen as a escape for adults consumed by niceness contained in children's literature. Whether you are purchasing this book for a good laugh or just out of morbid curiousity, I would strongly reccomend it. Although not for everyone, I thouroughly enjoyed it and it now resides high on my bookshelf, waiting to be brought down when the mood takes me... A spectacular book, and while not to everyone's tastes, it is well observed and a fine compilation of bunny suicides.

Clever and entertaining.
Bought this for a friend (we're both fans of the Bunny Suicides books). Very cleverly done, just wish it was longer. Finished it in 3 minutes lol. Would definitely recommend :)

How tragic
Whoever knew bunnies were so unhappy? Or quite so inventive? Really quite a hilarious book, though I worry slightly about the mind behind it...

fabulously tasteless
OK, you need a rather sick sense of humour, but these cartoons are appallingly funny. It's not the book to buy everyone, and probably not the average animal-lover, but it's still... Read more

What an ingenious book
This book really is ingenious. Andy Riley must be one of those eccentrics in life who dream up ideas which everyone else thinks are slightly zany, but which you know make sense. Read more
