Product Description

Product Description

Meet Bob - he's in a bit of financial trouble... This book is designed for those that are experiencing financial problems and are looking for guidance on bankruptcy or other remedies available to manage debt. It is extremely challenging for anyone in financial difficulty to find out about the various options available to them without trying to piece together information from many different sources; CAB, legislative books and counsellors that only provide initial advice for free. This can be frustrating and extremely time-consuming. Through the character of Bob and the circumstances he finds himself in, this book aims to outline and guide you through the choices currently available and to advise on the likely outcomes of each. You may be able to relate some of Bob's circumstances to yourself, family or friends. If so, we hope the scenarios help you clarify your understanding of your situation and allow you to shape the ultimate outcome to your best advantage.

About the Author

Robin Meynell is a qualified Accounting Technician and has worked as an Examiner for the Official Receiver for the last four years. Robin has witnessed first-hand the difficulty experienced by people trying to obtain straight to the point information and guidance on the various remedies available to debt. Through BOB, he aims to share his knowledge and experience and to offer simple, practical guidance. He lives and works in Cambridgeshire and, perhaps ill-advisedly, supports Luton Town football club.

Top Notch Advice! 18 Mar 2009
Format:Paperback
Through the fictional character of Bob the author takes the reader through the often convuluted procedure of bankruptcy. It is written in an informative manner and simple style without being patronising or condescending.

I have found this book to be very helpful and is a must buy for those already in financial strife or for those contemplating bankruptcy.

I found this book really helpful.

There are too many people offering advice who have hidden agendas and just want you to use their product. It is really good to see everything set out simply so you can think about what's right for you and so that you don't get any nasty surprises

CAUTION: This book relates to BRITISH BANKRUPTCY LAW, NOT U.S. LAW 7 July 2010
By M. Kimura - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DISCUSSION OF U.S. LAW. Nowhere in the description does it indicate that this book relates to BRITISH BANKRUPTCY LAW, and not U.S. bankruptcy law. It would have been nice if somebody, somewhere, noted anywhere on the book or description this simple fact. I bought the book, looked it over happily...read the back and front cover...the forward...even the copyright page indicates the publishing company, "Authorhouse," is based in Bloomington, Indiana. But then, a few pages in, I started seeing odd phrasings ("whilst," "clear the lot," and "offence"). Then my fears were confirmed. The author directs the reader to a ".uk" website for help with the law. Like I said, it would have been nice if the author--some guy named "Robin" who lives in Cambridgeshire--had given the reader notice up front. Now, I guess I'm in a bit of a sticky wicket, eh? LOL.
