This book is highly recommended and covers the practical steps towards getting closer to Allah. The author did a great service to the Muslims by writing such a useful book, may Allah be pleased with him and his fathers and children. It covers the basic practices one must take on, by spiritual struggle, in a clear and concise manner, as was the style of Imam al-Haddad. The translation is eloquent and fairly accurate, giving a good feel for the Arabic original. It is an essential book for any English speaking Muslim.

I've found this book to be particularly insightful. As well as providing sound knowledge it will also provide you with practical tips to help develop your relationship with your Lord.

Want to live your life in the prophetic way, then this book must not be ignored. Written by a saint and will show you how to become a saint.
