I love tech, and I love making notes, so this seemed the perfect marriage.
I bought it myself for xmas last year, and also got my dad one - they are very organised, so I thought they'd appreciate it. I've almost discarded ours, and from the lack on notes on my dads and the unaccessable place he now has it stored, I'd say they feel the same!
I wanted a by the phone/on the fridge type of thing - I currently have a small blackboard on the fridge, but invariably you can't find a pen, or accidentally use a permenant marker. So I thought this might be what I need.
You write on it with any blunt object. It comes with a stylus. The print on the screen sort of light grey, and the 'screen' is black. It's not the most stand out of contrasts (the pics here look like a different machine!)
It feels quite nice and tactile to write on, that said.
Apart from the lack of contrast, with this model you have to erase everything on the screen at one press of the erase button - you can't erase certain notes, or part of the screen.
I can't imagine many times when that is practical. With my blackboard now, I tend to be adding to and taking off the lists as the days go on. With this you'd have to re-write it all - not ideal, same at work with my to-do lists.
I guess if you were making meeting notes or whatever, you wouldn't need to do this, but the screen isn't really big enough for a note book (not for me anyway)
Finally, when you consider what you're replacing - a blackboard or a notepad - it's a bit expensive for what it is!
On the other hand, it's a neat, light weight object, seems quite well made, and is a tidy solution, if you're in the niche that might use it!
