Format: DVD
A group of five teenagers spend the night in an abandoned, derelict hospital, the Santa Mira Community Hospital, as a Halloween prank. There's two couples and a single male. The three lads are in cahoots to set up some scary thrills for the girls on the third floor, room 333, which is reputed to be haunted.
The group is effectively led by one of the girls, Jessie, a scalding hot blonde played by Trish Coren, who's the most resourceful and intelligent of the crowd. The hospital is a suitably foreboding setting for the flick, and it's where all the action take place.
A slightly older guy, Alan, who's a local cop, is searching the hospital for his girlfriend Meg, who went missing a couple of days earlier. The hospital is home to a vengeful spirit who's trapped within the walls of the building, and who needs to possess a living being in order to leave the grounds of the property. The ghost has some difficulties figuring out how to inhabit a human body, which leads to some of the gorier scenes...
This film has the look and feel of a low budget, early eighties "straight to video" horror film, and that's not meant to condemn the movie. The small cast don't do anything wrong, and Jessie is serious eye candy in the Scarlett Johannson league. It's quite a mild horror flick, there's no nudity or expletives, and the blood and gore is at a fairly modest level. There's minimal tension and no stressful, edge of the seat moments. There's nothing here that would intimidate a reasonably stout teenager. There's very little CGI, but rather more make up FX. There's a scary clown scene which is well executed.
This is an average, but watchable, horror story.

This is the classic horror tale of kids wanting to spend time in an abandoned haunted mental institution...on Halloween...during a full moon. The film hits on the classic cliche scenes. I thought the beginning was "Scarey Movie." The best way to enter the hospital is from the funeral home. One kid is rigging the hospital to be scary for the other four. And there are other people looking for some missing girls they believe are in the hospital too.

I thought the film was fairly decent, a good effort that held my interest for about the first hour. After that it repeated too much of the same formula. The script needed some middle relief. Take heed. There are some plot spoiler reviews that tell you why the place is haunted. Good blood splatter. It is a story of what happens when you use an non-certified elevator, because they always stop on the haunted floor. Needs to be watched in the dark.

Parental Guide: F-bomb, minor sex scene, no nudity (Nicole Rayburn- bra)

This film is not worth the effort , only one scary scene in it to do with a clown

Apart from that its all drama school acting and the 'token' black cop with his problems (you wont be bothered by any of them!!!!)

It is so obvious what is going to happen and the ending was laughable , something about a fire ??? and someones mother ??? and someone who was mad ??? we are laughing even writing about it .

'BOO' will not make you scared .... but if you like to laugh out loud too poorly made horror movies then go ahead ....

Bunch of pretty teens convene at an old abandoned mental hospital for Halloween. Things go awry.

Written and directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, Boo is either a loving homage to all things involving "haunted house" cinema? Or one of the laziest horror movies made in 2005?

Everything but the kitchen sink is thrown at the audience for this one, with the sound mix turned up to the max for, erm, max impact. The fear of this, the fear of that, what's real? What's not? And let there be blood! There will be blood!

Acting is ordinary, as is the writing, but scene setting and location filming is not half bad. In a nutshell, it's a horror film that you show to your pre-teen family members to prep them for far better horror pleasures in their up coming adult life. 4/10

This for me is one of the worst films ive had to view in the last 10 years of watching.... and believe me ive watched 1000's of films.

The acting is laughable, the plot stinks, & the effects you could do yourself in your bedroom. The jokes on you if you buy this film, only buy this for someone you dont like for xmass, make them waste 1hr 30 mins of their life they will never get back & laugh!

Dont listen to any reviewer that gives this film more than 2 stars, 2 stars is being very generous!

BOOOO ??? More like POOH & Thats exactly what your getting if you buy this trash!

how annoying this is!!sometimes, regardless of reviews telling me somthing is bad i still feel i have to buy it and see it, thinknig that i will enjoy it anyway, but i have to agree with other awful reviews for this that it was a stupid, typically unscary horror film with kids in it that didnt look much older than fifteen!!So in future i shall listen when people tell me not to watch things!!!!
