Handy positioning book for Rad Tech student. 27 Feb. 2012
By lacey - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound Verified Purchase
This book is very simple but covers all of the basic positions. I found the fluoro section to be a bit skimpy but the rest was nice. There is lots of room next to the text to make alterations if necessary. The cover has plastic in it so it will not get ruined very easily. Spiral bound and it stays together nicely. Each chapter is organized so that they can be flipped to quickly according to body part location.

Great Handbook 20 April 2012
By pete - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound Verified Purchase
Spiral binding makes this very easy to use. Keep it in your labcoat if you change rooms. I leave mine right on the panel. Went to work at an urgent care and I needed a brush up after years of MRI. You will like it at a student or an out of practice Old Timer. Illustrations of angles and distances are great. Covers most diagnostic work.

I am a student and we are given Merrill's pocket guide. This book has more information on each projection. It helps me.

Rad Text to make you a Rad Tech 30 Jan. 2013
By Nicky Bee - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Spiral-bound Verified Purchase
I have owned the Merrill's equivalent for a few years, and while adequate, this version has more material; it includes more projections, with explanations and structures shown, among other more useful features. Although it is by no means a replacement for the full text edition, I consider to be a valuable tool for a student or even a recent grad. Definitely worth it.

This is a great gift for any x ray tech student!!!!!! the handbook is small and can fit right in most scrub pockets....it is very helpful and shows most of the postistions and techniques that an x ray tech uses daily. I loved this handbook and it helped me out alot while in x ray school and i still use it at my job from time to time
