There's a whole lotta shak'in going on!
I've bought this piano instead of an easter egg for my two and a half year old nephew. It's the healthier option with the added bonus of irritating his parents along with the bongo drums I got him when he was one! :)
This is just like the ones from when I was a kid some 40 years ago. It's made by Bontempi who have a great reputation for keyboards of all kinds. This is a toy grand piano and it does look like one too!
It's made from plastic but feels well made, red in colour with blue detatchable legs so your budding Little Richard can just put it on their knee or table top if they want!
The keyboard has 12 keys that actually work, the red keys are for show only. For you musical types out there the white keys are the musical notes of C to G so you could actually hammer out a basic rock and roll sounding riff whilst your toddler belts out Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire!
The actual note keys are colour coded and numbered so you can play a couple of basic tunes that are printed on the box! Or the five notes from close encounters!
What I like about this is it needs no batteries, sounds nice and clear and is a good introduction to a musical instrument for your child learning about creating sound, hand eye coordination and the complete works of Chopin!
Seriously, this is a great little piece of kit to introduce your child to music at a low cost. Definitely worth a go folks! :)
