I was tempted into buying this CD after a review on the BBC and have found it a pleasant compilation of pieces, with a good "fee" for the land of composition.

On Amazon, I usually offer reviews of films, then books...but every once in a while a musical disc so enraptures me that I must write a positive comment. Bluntly, I have rarely heard the oboe played so beautifully ..these selections from Debussy, Ravel, Satie define a great period of French classical music. These are peaceful, slightly melancholic melodies that help me to meditate while I am driving through the countryside. I love it!
