About the Author

John O'Brien practised as an Osteopath for 40 years and in that time taught Osteopathic History and Clinical Studies and spent 21 years as a final clinical examiner. He gained his MA in the History of Medicine in 2007 and is co-founder and archivist at the National Osteopathic Archive (NOA) in London. He also started the Osteopathic History Group which is closely associated with the NOA.
