Meanwhile, Kelvin Southwest, self-appointed ‘ladies’ man’ and caretaker of Smalting’s beach huts, seems to be hiding a dark secret beneath his smooth exterior, while Reginald Flowers, pompous President of the Smalting Beach Hut Association, becomes increasingly defensive about his own history. When the bones under the beach hut are identified, the ghosts of the past are painfully reawakened, and long-hidden secrets begin to surface. Bones Under the Beach Hut is an ingenious mystery from one of England’s favourite crime writers, exquisitely plotted, teeming with wonderful characters and packed with unexpected twists.
About the Author
Simon Brett worked as a producer in radio and television before taking up writing full time. As well as the much-loved Fethering series, the Mrs Pargeter novels and the Charles Paris detective series, he has written a number of radio and television scripts. Married with three children, he lives in an Agatha Christie-style village on the South Downs.

As the previous reviewer has said, a new Fethering Mystery is always something to look forward to.
This one doesnt disappoint in any way. It's a good plot with plenty of interesting characters and I particularly enjoyed the beach setting, brought back memories of childhood seaside holidays.
Lovely relaxing book, the perfect distraction after a busy stressful day. A real treat. Already waiting for the next in the series.

A new Fethering mystery is always something to look forward to and this is no exception. The book follows the same tried and tested format as previous ones with Jude and Carole on top form. As always the plot in itself is not really the point of the book; it's the characters, the locality and the excellent writing style which keep you gripped until the end.

There's nothing like taking a book for light reading when you go away on holiday and this was one of the best! The characters come back to you like old friends and all those glasses of Chilean Chardonnay quaffed by the sleuthing duo made me feel less guilty for the glass I was holding!

this novel is great, Its a classic feathering mystery, i really liked the fast paced plot, and enjoyed this just as much, if not more than the body on the beach. excellent.
