"This system of Taoist exercises will create an inner fitness in addition to the Western ideal of physical and muscular fitness. . . . Even if you are just interested in living longer and living healthier (and who isn't?), this system will fascinate you."

Product Description

This book presents the history of the Papal persecution of the Cathars that lies hidden in the mediaeval epic, "Parzival", and in the poetry of the troubadours. It provides new insights into the life and death of this gifted and controversial author. "Crusade against The Grail" is the book that popularised the legend of the Cathars and the Holy Grail. The first edition appeared in Germany in 1933 and drew upon Rahn's account of his thrilling explorations of the Pyrenean caves where the heretical Cathar sect took refuge during the 13th century. Over the years, the book has been translated into many languages and exerted a large influence on, for example, Trevor Ravenscroft, author of the best-seller "Spear Of Destiny". It, also, has been cited in the best-seller "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", but it has never appeared in English until now.

A guide to nourishing the body through bone marrow rejuvenation exercises

* Presents exercises to "regrow" bone marrow, revive the internal organs, and prevent osteoporosis

* Explains the use of bone breathing and bone compression, "hitting" to detoxify the body, and sexual energy massage and chi weight lifting to enhance the life force within

Most Westerners believe that a daily physical exercise program helps slow the aging process. Yet those whose bodies appear most physically fit on the outside often enjoy only the same life span as the average nonathletic person. It is the internal organs and glands that nourish every function of the body, and it is the bone marrow that nourishes and rejuvenates the organs and glands through the production of blood. By focusing only on the muscles without cultivating the internal organs, bones, and blood, the Western fitness regimen can ultimately exhaust the internal system.

In Bone Marrow Nei Kung Master Mantak Chia reveals the ancient mental and physical Taoist techniques used to "regrow" bone marrow, strengthen the bones, and rejuvenate the organs and glands. An advanced practice of Iron Shirt Chi Kung, Bone Marrow Nei Kung was developed as a way to attain the "steel body" coveted in the fields of Chinese medicine and martial arts. This method of absorbing energy into the bones revives the bone marrow and reverses the effects of aging through the techniques of bone breathing, bone compression, and sexual energy massage, which stimulates the hormonal production that helps prevent osteoporosis. Also included is extensive information on chi weight lifting and the practice of "hitting" to detoxify the body.

Not as good as i thought 21 April 2008
By S. Ijaz
Format:Paperback
I bought this book after seeing tons of research about Bone marrow being the key to rejuvenating the body via the blood.

The book starts with warnings about how you shouldnt attempt any of the exercises without a universal tao instructor. Later found out that author is actually the creator of the Universal Tao system centre, giving me a feeling this book might just be a marketing attempt of some kind.

The book does contain some information about the flow of chi, and the dangers of chi without knowing the proper techniques. However what makes me wonder is, how did they come to discover this in the first place? When you can only feel chi, how did the research lead everything to this? And arent there better ways of rejuvenating the body rather than putting weights on your genitals and massaging nearby areas?

In my opinion, there are better ways. And this "closely guarded secret" is not really worth much but was an okay read, just for information.

Even if i misunderstood something in this book, i must say, the exercises in this book are very vaguely explained. Very few pictures that illustrate what you exactly have to do, to perform such exercises, and would cause many readers to feel lost in being unsure if they are even doing the exercise correctly. (Hoever you cannot do the exercises anyway even though they are simple, because you need a Universal Tao Instructor!) How convienient that the author owns centres of this and gives his website details.

When? 25 Feb 2008

When is Amazon going to remove the utterly wrong synopsis of this book? Does Amazon take note of reviewers concerns/comments? The current synopsis refers to another book entirely, please fix this so that we can actually get a line on Mantak Chia's book: Bone Marrow Nei Kung. This book is absolutely NOTHING to do with Catharism!
