I had low expectations for this film. I guess that's why I was surprised when I found myself chuckling at some of the slapstick.

Bone Alone is basically a low budget Home Alone but with dogs and an underlying story of one dog's aim to be a watchdog, which feeds in to his need to go back home (after being left in a kennel) to foil robbers.

While the start is fairly different, the film soon sets up the whole slapstick element with plenty of familiar tricks, though some have a fairly good twist. The issue is that it never seems plausible that the dog could lay half of them out and that makes it feel pretty fake.

Production values are on par with a TV movie, not fantastic, but certainly watchable, despite some of the effects when the dog lays out traps. The main issue here is the comic timing, it's really off in places and made me cringe. Tge acting was average.

Overall, though, go into this with low expectations and you'll get some entertainment, but home alone it is not.

This film is great! I'm amazed nobody has sued Asylum Films for infringement of copyright! Most are not a patch on the original but this could easily be number 5 in the Home Alone series! It's funny, plenty of slapstick, feel good Christmas feature! It's fast paced and the 84 mins just whizz by! The music is great too, with a familiar nod to the original John Hughes films! Well done Asylum! This is one to watch again, even if it does feature some of the dumbest criminals commited to film! Don't compare it to other films, watch it for what it is and it's a whole lot of fun!

Well I never, Well I never...(said twice as I am so very shocked) When I sat down to this film with my 4 children Marie (16) the Twins Ray-Ray and Joey (14) and Lil'Joey (10), I didn't think I would 10 minutes into it have 3 children with urine sodden pyjamas sitting next to me on their bean bag sofas (also from Amazon, i shall be updating my review of them due to the now found un-waterproofness of them later).

Word of warning for Fathers with children who wish to watch this film with their lil'uns...DONT...it is far too scary.

Please can Amazon put a warning on this that it should be rated 18.

Thankyou

p.s. The dog CGI was actually very high standard, think Snow Dogs mixed with Pixar.
