ANOTHER GOOD STORY FROM IRIS GOWER, I HAVE ALL SHE HAS WRITTEN AND THIS BOOK IS UP TO HER USUAL STANDARD. A MUST READ, SHE BRINGS THE PEOPLE TO LIFE, AND THE PLACES ARE SO REAL YOU CAN SEE AND FEEL THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE SETTINGS SHE WRITES ABOUT, KEEP TURNING OUT THE BOOKS, 10/10

When I first started to read this book to be truthful I was disappointed I thought it was going to be another one of a girl in love but bloke in love with bestfriend/sister! How wrong was I... it started in war time wales and went from war torn Britain to Nazi Germany each page was exciting and interesting and what true love truly meant and what young british people went through in war time Britain..
We will never be able to thank that generation for what they went through for us and what they lost for us through their youth and their lives..so that we could live in freedom.
I have always loved Iris Gower as an author for so many years but her writing was not the same as her other books. she has got better!! and still knows how to keep her readers attention and guessing and no matter how you think the book was going to go, you just know that Ms Gower had other plans and much more exciting and heart wrenching and totally soul awakening and for some heart breaking ...
Thank you Iris Gower for a wonderful book and such an exciting read which I will never forget no matter how many more books I will read... please keep them coming Iris, as you are one of the best authors I have ever read..
