A UK/ Hong Kong Co-Production, 'Bodyguard: A New Beginning tells the story of Leung (Vincent Sze), the bodyguard of a Hong Kong Triad boss, Wong (Richard Ng), who is sent to the UK to protect a woman (Stephanie Langton) whose identity is known only by his boss. Even the boss' own errant son, Yuen (Carl Ng), is kept in the dark.

The efforts of a rival boss, Kai (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) to take over Wong s territory leads Yuen to a betrayal that threatens to destroy all that his father has worked hard to protect.

If you take into consideration that this film competes big budget Hollywood productions and its clearly not one of them, the filmmakers have done an amazing job with their resources!
This film is engaging, fun, emotional and just a very nice way to spend 90 minutes of your time!
Highly recommend it, great stuff indeed!

An awesome piece of energetic, gritty filmmaking blending British indie with dynamic Hong Kong action from the likes of John Woo and Ringo Lam! It's also great to see stars like Cary Tagawa (Mortal Kombat) and Richard Ng (My Lucky Stars) alongside up-and-coming actors like Vincent Sze (SPL). In all, a great and stylish action drama with brutal fight scenes and an excellent sense of style!
