My previous gym had supplied a leather ankle strap whch did up with a buckle and was completely secure. My present gym does not have ankle straps as no one but me seems to use them so I bought my own. As I use as little leather as possible I bought this one. It is well cushioned but slips up my calf when doing glute extensions but does not slip up so much when doing abduction exercises. To counter this I use a couple of strong rubber bands once the strap is on my ankle which helps, but for this money I expect the strap to work perfectly.

I was worried that the ankle strap would not be big enough for some of the body builders in our gym but it is more then fine

This strap replaces a precious strat which was too narrow and too time consuming to attach. The Body Solid strap is easy to use, extremely comfortable, and stays in place on my ankle. The quality is very good and it looks like it should hold up for many years. I purchsed this after using a similar strap in my physical therapy office. I would definitely recommend this item.

I own a Body-Solid GDCC200 functional trainer. I bought these to use for lying leg curls. I wrap the cuffs around my ankles and then attach them to one of the cable weight stacks. I lie on my stomach and crank out a few sets of curls. The cuffs are very effective, extremely comfortable, and solidly built. I tossed away the basic cuffs that came with my machine since these padded ones are perfect.
