I've just used the product on my 207, here's the thing...
Negatives;
And for me this is a massive drawback, it is very poor at taking off tar and bug marks. Very poor indeed. I would consider my car to be well looked after, it is washed properly every week to 10 days. To remove tar and bugs I use a specific product (Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover) which I find works really well. For this reason I know that the tar and bugs have been on my car for no more than a week and there aren't many of them. Having said that, this product really struggled to remove them. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that it didn't remove them at all, I had to do it with my finger nail.
Positives;
Great shine when applied.
It rained not long after I applied and the rain was sitting up in bubbles and running off the pannels.
I also nipped over to the supermarket (about 8 mile round trip) on the wet road and was pleased to see that no dirt stick to the car.
How I will use the product in future...
1) Wash car
2) Remove tar / bugs
3) Use this product.
For me this product isn't a one stop fix, but is great to finish your car with.

I was very pleased with the Body Shield Pro product although I must admit I was sceptical about using it directly on my very dirty car, so I did wash it conventionally first. I applied the product after the car had dried - it was easy and quick. I have a large 4 x 4 and it took about 40 minutes to apply and buff off the whole vehicle.
The car looked very good afterwards and it is pleasing to see the globules of water on the body each time it rains four weeks after I applied the product. It obviously doesn't keep the car perfectly clean on British roads - nothing would. But it takes a matter of only a couple of minutes with a bucket and sponge to wash off any mud and grim that has accumulated after a long journey. It is not necessary to use the product every week and my car still looks good after a month. I have not yet worked out when another application will be required.
Having given one application to both mine and my wife's 4 x 4 I have brobably used up half of the 1 Ltr bottle. So I will probably get 4 applications from one bottle. When used on smaller cars it would no doubt last longer.

You will need to give your car a good wash before using Pro Shield.

Common sense should dictate that you first clean your car by hosing down (rinsing) and washing with a car detergent before applying this product. Read more
