Product Description

Part of a series which offers a hands-on approach to learning, exploring science through experiments, projects and activities, this book looks at the human body, its systems and how they work together. Topics covered include the skeleton, blood and circulation, breathing, digestion, the nervous system and the senses. Practical activities and experiments help readers to understand the scientific principles behind the way our bodies work, and they can build up a complete picture of the body "machine" by making life-size models of the main systems. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars Children will enjoy this book 18 Nov 2001
By A Customer
This book was very useful it contains lots of ways to make learning about the body interesting through practical work making the bits of the body and sticking them to a person for the children who learn visually. It is not full of difficult language that the children will have problems with but does help the to locate the different body parts. It can be used in the classroom or at home. So the children can use it in a group or individually. Some of the experiments require adult supervision but the adults will find the majority of them interesting and fun to do. It keeps the element of fun in science. The book itself can be used by a widerange of ages of children who will enjoy using it. One of the more interesting books I have found so far.
