Body Language' represents a return to a more adventurous direction for Kylie without losing that commercial sensibility cemented by her previous record 'Fever.'

Influences here include Urban beats, especially evident in the fantastic 'Secret (Take You Home') and 'Red Blooded Woman,' Electronic Hip POP represented by the truly kooky 'Sweet Music' and Prince-esque funk on 'I Feel For You.'

Kylie even slows the pace with a slice of RnB Electro on 'Chocolate,' the anthemic orchestral 'Loving days' (a MUST for a single)! and the sublime 'Someday' (featuring Green Gartside).

Body Language is an absoulote must have record which is on an entirely different level to her last album.

Import 2 Jun 2005
By Josh
Format:Audio CD
This import edition of Kylie's album Body Language is worth it if you would like to hear the tracks You Make Me Feel and Slow Motion, which are bonus tracks. But the standard edition is fine for me, including the normal 12 tracks and at a cheaper price you are probably better off getting that edition. Includes Slow, Red Blooded Woman and Chocolate.

After years of cult status in the United States, Kylie Minogue finally made another big splash in 2002 with "Fever," a disco drenched album featuring knockout tunes like "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "Love at First Sight." But anyone looking for more of the same will be disappointed in "Body Language," which, as of this writing, is only available as an import before it gets released Stateside in 2004. "Body Language" is disappointing for two reasons: 1) it abandons the disco flavor of its predecessor in favor of r&b lite and 2) the album lacks a signature, standout track. The only single that comes even close is the kickoff track "Slow," a seductive, synth-heavy mid-tempo groove that shot to Number One in the US. But at least half of "Body Language" is dull, ranging from clunkers like "Still Standing" to "Secret" (which steals the hook from Lisa Lisa's "I Wonder If I Take You Home") to "I Feel For You." "Body Language" fares slightly better with "Red Blooded Woman," the lovely ballad "Loving Days," and the laid back and understated groove of "After Dark." "Body Language" isn't a bad album, but it's a maddeningly uneven one lacking consistency and quality material. It's not quite sure if the American version will have different tracks, but I can tell you right off the bat that this disc won't register with much of her U.K. listeners. That said, I really can't recommend "Body Language" to anyone other than diehard Kylie fans.

Best Kylie Minogue album
I can understand why people who love "Fever" doesn't like this album that much. It's not a classical dance pop album like Fever. Read more

Take a second glance...
This album is...sexy, deviant, edgy, pulsating, hot, seductive pop! It's as close to her sister Dannii's music (of whom I'm also a fan) as any previous album of Kylie's I know-... Read more
