5.0 out of 5 stars "..TOP 80'S SLASHER HORROR.." 19 May 2013
This is one unusual 80s slasher but one of the best of the 80s movies from the time, a very cool movie with a great story set in the middle of nowhere a group of people are picked off one by one in the usual gory manner you expect from the good old days, but not without a slight more twist than usual as the killer is a supposed Indian shaman spirit from an old burial ground, is it a legend come real or somebody posing as the legendary killer? It's like a big Scooby doo mystery, very good film well worth picking up for any horror fan especially of the 80s slashers; the soundtrack is amazing too and sets a creepy tone right from the open credits!!! This version is an import uncut in English language even though all the packaging is German.

Don't bother with those UK DVDs folks, unless they are the newer uncut Arrow releases, because lots of them are Cut prints...
The German release of Deodato's BodyCount is the best version available, if at all available (as of 8-9-12 I have the last used copy sold fromfrom Amazon, teehee). I expect this DVD to hold value and become one of those sought-after collectibles.
As far as the film transfer...its decent, but nothing like a flashy Blue Underground or Synapse Films release... but its the best version available currently.
Not a bad nor great slasher film, but an entertaining blend of American backwoods Slasher and Italian Horror absurdity. Rather gorey for later 80's entries in the genre. Also lots of cool genre stars make cameo appearances, like John Steiner, Ivan Rassimov, David Hess, and Mimsy farmer to name a few. Recommended for slasher completists.
