Product Description

Body Beast is one of the first all-encompassing workout, performance diet, and supplement systems, created to build a large, muscular physique as quickly as possible. When used properly, it's capable of adding ten pounds of lean muscle in 90 days. Body Beast is built on the concept of Dynamic Set Training, a specific sequence of sets and reps which maximizes the muscle's time under tension with the goal of exhausting the muscle and "recruiting" more muscle fiber. Dynamic Set Training is also designed to help enhance your body's own testosterone production. Testosterone is the primary hormone responsible for developing muscle mass, so the more testosterone the body makes, the faster it grows. To access the Body Beast App, go to FreeBeastApp.com and fill out the form. Programme format may vary.

I totally agree with the last reveiwer. I am also female and have also done Insanity, a bit of Chalean extreme and Les Mills pump aswell as Four months of JNL Fusion, and I have just completed the whole of Body Beast.

Body beast is a proper weights workout where you work a different body part each day. I could have worked out my own weights routine but it's so much more convenient to just press play each day - its also more motivational than just training on your own.

I lost a lot of weight doing Insanity and JNL fusion but Body Beast allowed me to lose more fat and pack on some lean muscle. I did get some lean muscle from JNL Fusion but I have become a lot more defined with Body Beast and my weight is now down to 8.5 stone. I have biceps, triceps, shoulders, and my legs have lost a lot of fat and become way more toned and defined. PLEASE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT BULKING UP IF YOU ARE FEMALE!! women just don't have enough testosterone and I have worked REALLY incredibly hard just to get the bit of lean muscle that I have now and I would still like my shoulders and biceps to be bigger!

The workouts themselves are great and split into 3 phases - build, bulk and beast.

Build is like it says building muscle and the workouts are quite long around 40 mins to an hour, but having said that I tend to find that working out with weights goes way quicker than when I do cardio and there are lots of rests in between sets.

Bulk is a lot shorter around 25-35 mins per workout and like it says you are bulking the muscle you have built.

Beast is a mixture of build and bulk workouts and it really did make me pack on some nice lean muscle in the last phase even though it was just a rehash of the last two phases mixed together.

First off be under no illusion these workouts are BRUTAL. For anyone who feels that they need to go to the gym to get a proper workout and home workouts following a DVD set are just for women be prepared to be humbled.

The program is good for hard gainers and those, like me, who are looking to lose weight and gain muscle along the way. I'm a month into the program and have lost 13lbs yet gained strength judged by the amount of weight I can handle now compared to when I started, remember as Sagi tells you write your weights down every workout to keep a record of what you are lifting and keep track of your progress.

The program is split into Build (3 weeks, 6 days on 1 off), Bulk (6 weeks, 6 days on 1 off) and Beast (3 weeks, 6 days on 1 off). There is also two options of Huge Beast and Lean Beast, the only real difference is the amount of cardio done in the lean compared to the huge.

The workouts tend to be in the 30 to 50 minute range, the build workouts are the longest and the bulk workouts the shortest. There is also a Total Body DVD and a Beast Cardio DVD both are done at certain times in the 12 weeks with an option at times to do one or the other. There is also an AB workout contained on several of the DVD's

The diet portion of the program is important but you need to think carefully of your personal goals before you follow it. Again like the workouts the diet is split into three phases and using a formula contained in the manual you calculate how many calories you will consume during each phase. If you are skinny or a hard gainer you will be shocked at the number of calories you will have to eat every day. You will have to eat more than you have every done in your life!

I have generally lived by the rule "Don't buy anything you see on Home Shopping channels" as it invariable turns out to be useless (with the exception of stuff from JML).

This said, I have just started week 3 of this program and its producing surprisingly fast results.

The course is very structured, everything is planned out, you have a timetable, eating guide, all the exercises are explained as you go. I would just say embrace it, dont try and be clever, just follow the instructions and do what your told and you will get results. Im on week 3 so Ive not done all the exercise routines, but so far, they have been intense, short to medium length, and over before you know it. In fact one of the best things about them is that you are too focused on doing it right, and pushing yourself, to clock watch. (my biggest criticism of lots of other courses are that I spend most of the time watching the clock thinking "oh god I hope it ends soon".) I personally prefer shorter, intense exercise, than really long low intensity routines. I think they get better results, and you are more likely to commit to them.

My tips would be:

WATCH YOUR BACK! There are lots of sets following on from each other, if you get lazy putting down and picking up your weights, you will quickly tire your lower back muscles, and then struggle when you hit back/biceps day. Bend your legs, be disciplined, all that good stuff, or you will crap out your back, or even worse, injure yourself.

Get some extra weights. I have a selection of weights that I can set up in advance. Nearly everything involves mutliple sets with 3 different weights. Swapping plates on and off every set is tiresome and time consuming.
