Modern design = my favorite teapot 30 Sep 2005
By Sharon - Published on Amazon.com
I absolutely love my bodum teapot. It was a wedding gift, and it makes wonderful tea. I don't know why the other reviewer has a problem with the design - I don't have any problems getting the hot water from my tea kettle into the pot. One of my favorite elements is the removable infuser basket. My other teapot doesn't have this feature and some batches of tea end up being bitter from the tea leaves you can't as easily remove; again, a great feature on the bodum. And, even though my Mother makes fun of what she calls my "Aladdin's Lamp" teapot, I get more compliments from people who come over and see it as I have it on display in my kitchen. I don't see any reason to hide it away in a cupboard. It is also very easy to clean. In regard to the other reviewer's comment about putting the pot on the stove, DON'T! It is a tea-pot... not a tea-kettle. I'm sure most of you know this, but just wanted to clarify.

Funky AND Functional! 26 Dec 2005
By Karina Brach - Published on Amazon.com
I just got the tea pot for Christmas and I absolutely love it! The design is very funky and modern. The stainless steel is easy to clean and I love the infuser for loose leaf tea. I have a glass flat surface stove top and you CAN use this tea pot/kettle directly on this type of burner. There is no whistle and it does take a bit to bring the water to a rapid boil but since I dont drink much black tea, most of my tea is "steaming" rather than boiling. Though...the water will boil as well and you will hear it when it does. Worth every penny....great looks and function.

Attractive But Design Problems 4 Jun 2008
By Roberta J. Goldberg - Published on Amazon.com
Guess I still remember my childhood storybook cover of Aladin and the Magic Lamp so was attracted to this very stylish teapot as well as to Bodum's reputation. However, I question the stated capacity, which may only be obtained by filling all the way up to the top, including in the spout. And, as other reviewers have stated, it is impossible to fill through the center opening because the handle gets in the way no matter which way you turn your tea kettle; plus the handle "gives" when the filled pot is lifted, leading me to question its eventual durability. I finally solved the problem by carefully pouring the boiling water through the spout. I do agree that it brews a great cup of tea though.
