Have had this book a while now and although it's nice to look at and seems to cover most of the fruit varieties a gardener would like to grow, it is very lacking in the detail I would have thought a book with the term "complete" in the title ought to cover. For example, the pest and disease information for each fruit is extremely limited: simply a short paragraph with very little information. If you are trying to discover what is wrong with your fruit trees then don't bother looking here. I had to search the internet to discover that the orange spots on my pear tree were (rust) in spite of owning this book. Apparently it's a fairly common problem with pears but wasn't even mentioned in Bob's book. In future I'll stick with my trusty "Fruit Expert" by Dr D G Hessayon. It may not look so pretty, but really is more of a complete guide than this book.
