The play set detects when any of the supplied Machine Team vehicles move forwards or backwards and sounds a beep or one of several character phrases relating to the moving vehicle: "Tumbler we need another load of cement". The play set even knows when features such as the lift, crane and cement silo are being moved and responds with appropriate sounds or phrases: "lift going up!"
