I recently took a book on holiday with me that had been sitting in the 'ought to read' section of my bookshelf for a while. By the fourth day of my holiday I had finished the other two books that I had excitedly purchased at the airport and I reluctanctantly pulled out 'Boat to Boardroom' from the bottom of my rucksack. The prospect of reading a business 'team-building' book whilst I was on holiday certainly did not fill me with much joy; however, it was either that or an overpriced, 3-day old copy of the 'SUN' newspaper from the hotel shop.
What's the expression?....'don't judge a book by it's cover' - how wrong I had been to leave this book on the shelf, or indeed at the bottom of my rucksack for so long. If ever there was a book to inspire you to do something with your life that will change you for ever, this is the one. Alex and Paula take us on not only on an amazing sailing challenge but also their personal journeys of discovery, with a story that has the reader gripped from page one.
