About the Author
Gina Garan, a New York–based photographer and video producer, saw Blythe by chance and has been her constant companion ever since. Her photographs of Blythe have shown in London, Spain, Asia, and across the U.S. Junko Wong is president of Cross World Connections, a Tokyo-based agency that has been pivotal in returning Blythe to the spotlight she deserves. Blythe's eyes change color from green to blue to orange to pink at the pull of a string. Born in Cincinnati in 1972, she's a tireless world traveler who now divides her time between Tokyo and New York City.

I was first introduced to Blythe via Gina Garan's book 'This is Blythe' (2000) and have now become addicted, acquiring a number of girls of my own!
This long awaited follow-up perhaps shows a more sophisticated side to Blythe than 'This is Blythe'. Blythe is photographed modelling 131 custom outfits designed by fashion houses throughout the world - Prada, Dior, Milk, Versace, Issey Miyake and Hysteric Glamour to name but a few. Each outfit is unique, from the outrageous John Galliano to the demure Gucci.
Gina's photography succeeds in capturing the unique personality of Blythe. Every Blythe girl seems to have a story and comes completely to life!
The book brings to mind Shoichi Aoki's 'Fruit's series, and is fun to pick up again and again and leaf through the amazing photographs. If you are a fan of Blythe this book is a must-have, however it will also appeal to fashion-lovers everywhere too. I eagerly await Gina's next book!

Don't waste your money

I expected much more from a professional photographer. I expected to be in awe, but that wasn't the case at all. I think you can go to [...] and see Blythe pics that will truly inspire you for free. I'm returning this one!

What's the hype?

I got hooked on photos of these dolls a few months ago and had heard all the talk about this book. Naturally,I wanted to see how all this Blythe mania started so I made the mistake of ordering the book instead of taking a trip to my local bookstore to have a look at it before buying. Had I done that....I would never have bought the book. Want to see some fabulous photos of these incredible dolls? Check out Flickr. They are much better than those in the book. Sorry Gina, wasn't impressed.

A "Must Have" for all Blythe lovers!!!

Gina captures the essence of Blythe through the eye of her camera!!! Who else could bring out such personality of dolls in pictures. Amazing photography of Blythe in beautiful designer outfits. Wonderful coffee table book to look at over and over!...bronxdoll :)
