The visual companion to Blur's music,
By A Customer
This review is from: Blur:The Best Of [DVD] [2000] (DVD)
If you're looking at this, Blur should need no introduction. This istheir collection of promo videos for all (or at least most) of their bestloved hits. Each video compliments the song, in particular Damon's acerbicsocial commentary lyrics, and most add another dimension all together. Thehighlights are many, with 'Parklife', 'Popscene', the Orwellian 'TheUniversal' and the madcap 'Country House' (that must have been the mostfun had when making a video ever!) my personal favourites. You also get various stats concerning each clip, and a preview facility toenable a quick scan through each clip to find the one you're looking for. However, a bit more value could have been added to this DVD with theinclusion of some extra material, such as live footage, and a decent (orindeed any) booklet. But it's the promo videos that we're really after, and this is it.

Its got it all,

This review is from: The Best of [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the one all the fans have been waiting for. After the release of the singles box set it seemed only fair that they should release the videos for the singles aswell. This video begins with Blur as the 'baggy trousers, floppy fringes' image seen in Theres No Other Way and goes right through to them as they are now although Music Is My Radar was left off the recording. A must have for all major Blur followers (including myself).

A great trip down memory lane,

This review is from: The Best of [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a great video, which emphasises just how much 'Blur' have progressed as artists in the past decade. Early hits such as 'She's so High' and 'Sunday Sunday' provide an introduction to Blur's unique sound and individualism - and are accompanied by very entertaining videos! - whilst the more recent songs 'Tender' and 'Beetlebum' are great examples of how much Blur have matured musically since they began. The video captures a variety of moods - of joy and sadness - and the last single 'No Distance Left to Run' is accompanied by an unforgettable video of the boys sleeping! Well worth buying, not only for big Blur fans but for anyone who truly appreciates great pop music, and great entertainment!
