Prepare your nails as you would with any manicure. Paint a base coat, 2 coats of colour and a top coat. Cure each coat in UV/LED lamp as per manufacturer's instructions. That is base coat & cure, 1st colour coat & cure, 2nd colour coat & cure, top coat & cure. Use prep & shine to remove sticky residue after last cure. If done correctly it should last you 2-3 weeks. To remove gel use lint free pads soaked in Acetone, wrap around each nail with tin foil leave for approx. 10 minutes, check if ready if not leave a few minutes more, use an orange stick to remove softened gel. I like to use cuticle oil after painting my nails and also before removal as nails can dry out.

Hi yes you need a UV OR LED lamp. and after each layer dry for one minute on the top and base coats and 2 mins on each of the coloured coats then you need to wipe the top coat after drying in the lamp to remove the sticky residue by using either..a finishing wipe lotion, or a dual cleanse lotion by bio sculpture ( obviously I use this because I have it in my nail collection ) but you can by the finishing lotion on amazon comes in a 100ml bottle wet a non lint nail wipe also available to buy on amazon or e bay and then wipe the whole nail over with the lotion. I do how this helps good luck with gels. I used a nice red colour the week before Xmas and added little silver stars to my ring fingers and I am just about to remove it and do a different colour in the next few days so they have lasted very well. use remover with cotton pad, and use foil to cover your nail, leave it about 10 mins (it depends on how thick your gel is). hope it helps!

No you only need to file the shine away from the natural nail plate. That doesn't mean you can't use a bonder. I have especially oily nail plates so gel lifts easier from my nails so I use a de-hydrating bonder that dries out my nail.

I believe it is a type of shellac however it is a gel. I'm not too sire myself however I can never tell the difference between shellac and gel anyway! Whatever it is it is good :-)
