Recorded just before his death this album has a stellar line up of blues greats playing with Jimmy. Lowell Fulson, Taj Mahal, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Mick jagger and more.
They dont hog the limelight - just muck in playing with Jimmy on a fine set of blues classics, including many of his own numbers. One of the very best blues albums in recent years.

The third man to be known as Jimmy Rodgers-which sounds the same as JIMMIE Rodgers-he was the co founder of the Muddy Waters Band though never made an album till this one only singles for the Chess label
So here were as many whites as blacks on the sessions which saw the All Stars trading verses
The All Stars include Mick Jagger,Keith Richards,Jeff Healey,Stephen Stills,Eric Clapton,Taj Mahal (whose real name is Henry Fredericks),Robert Plant and Jimmy Page who are here just members of the band-this is Jimmy Rogers show which unfortuantely he never lived to see

I was given this album. I don't know anything about blues music, but it's become one of my favourite albums. Also, great music to drive to, laid back and with the volume turned up.

Highly recommend, even if only for a change to what you usually listen to.

The man who helped many British greats define their guitar style made this album shortly before he died. The All Stars include Clapton, Jagger, Richards and many more but it is Jimmy's own input that shines through, enhanced by the support of the many artists who were influenced by his style. Great value and a staggeringly good blues album in its own right!

I've listened to a lot of blues, a lot of great blues artists and this album is right up there, Jimmy Rogers is a bluesman through and through and his all-star line-up nails this one. Thsi is one hell of blues ride.
