excellent instruction and cd for bass blues! 9 Oct 2006

This book and cd had lots (74) bass riffs to practice and practice. Although the riffs are reletively short (12 bars) they are indeed exactly pieces of most of the blues songs over the past sixty years or so years. And alot of these patterns are jazzy as well. Many of the patterns I have incorporated and improvised just like a good blues song should do to you. The riffs includes LOTS of blues shuffles as well as slow blues. I have practically every blues bass book offered by Amazon-this is still one of the best. My top three include this one, Jumpin' Bass Blues by Keith Rosier, and Blues Bass by Ed Friedland. All three will give you hours of practice, theory, and many excellent and well traveled bass blues groovin'. This is a HIGHSIERRABASSPLAYER MUST HAVE!

Excellent learning tool. Leibman is an amazing bass player and has broken down the bass lines so that hey are easy to learn. I look forward to getting to the section of solos. Good for any beginning to intermediate student.
