Blue Next 29 Mar 2011
By DrWho55
I brought the BlueNEXT GPS to work with my iPhone 3G. When I tried to set it up I could not get the iPhone to recognise it. I went to O2 my network provider who informed me that it would be impossible to make it work on any iPhone. The seller informed me, when I contacted him, that I needed to download the app roqyBluetooth from Cydia. (You need a jail broken iPhone). The app costs 8.00 to activate but it is well worth it. The BlueNEXT works well with TomTom and many other apps.Bluetooth Gps Unit,

Excellent product, works extremely well with my Nokia 6303 to make it into a Sat Nav. Great as it now means I can use it in Aus. without further expense.

Had BlueNEXT 51 been stolen from my car (unfortunately) bought this one as cheap replacement.

I checked it on two 20-25 minutes journeys. It works perfectly. I must admit that it finds the satellites quickly than my old device though its not as pretty. I am using it with Nokia N95 and checked it with Garmin and well as Tom Tom Software on the phone. I found no issue with it at all.

The device looks a bit cheap and plasticy. You do not get a in-home charges with this device, but it might not be a problem if you are happy to charge it in car. I have multi-charger at home which solved the problem.

The other main advantage is that it can be used in keychain (a bit heavy though).

What I got in he box:

1. GPS device
2. A navigation software (Navigon Mobile navigator 7 -one month trial)
3. In-car Charger
3. Installation manual.

Finally, I think its a good device in right money. (Though have not used it long).

Packed up. does not work. just connect to the phone but no satellites at all.

Contacted customer services and they replaced the device with a new one. its working fine since then. Hope stays long.

The second/replacement unit died within a month or so.

Not Reccomended.

Beware
When the device works it is very quick and picks up the satellites with ease, unfortunately it does look very cheap and after a month it packed up.
